Money and abundance causes people to ascend above uncomplicated rationality and common thought due to having everything within reach. It's not bad as long as the retrospector isn't fiscally average themselves. The affluent may be regarded as "out of touch", however, if you believe that, then average individuals may fairly be regarded as "commoners".
